Almond Milk
A fresh and delicate non-dairy milk. Drink as it is, combined with other ingredients, or in food preparations as a substitute for animal milk.
Add <quantity>1½<unit>cups</unit></quantity> of almonds to a container and cover with <quantity>400<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of cool water
Soak the almonds overnight in a cool location to hydrate them. If the temperature is above <temperature>75<unit>°F</unit></temperature>, keep them in the fridge
Drain the almonds and discard the water
Transfer the almonds to a blender
Add <quantity>300<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of cool water and blend on medium-high speed until the almonds are completely ground
Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth into a container. Squeeze to extract all the liquid
Add a pinch of salt and combine. The almond milk is ready
