Espresso
A classic Espresso on a simple portafilter. For this recipe, it is important to use a good quality coffee, and grind into a very fine powder right before brewing. Keeping the grinding uniform is also very important.
Grind <quantity>⅓<unit>cup</unit></quantity> of espresso beans into a very fine powder. Weigh <quantity>12<unit>g</unit></quantity> of the coffee powder
Fill an espresso portafilter with the ground coffee
Press straight down with a tamper to evenly distribute the coffee, flattening out the surface
Pull a shot to clean the espresso machine. Take the portafilter to the machine and pull a shot of espresso of 23-30s into a coffee cup. If your machine has a pressure setting, set it to 9
The espresso is ready! Enjoy!
