Perfect Rum Negroni
This is a summertime negroni, where the gin was swapped for two rums, and two vermouths are used.
The result is a complex and compelling summer sipper, perfect as a pre-prandial conversation starter.
Splitting the vermouth between sweet and dry in a cocktail recipe is known as "perfect”. It doesn't speak to the quality, but to the build.
Add 2 drops of tiki bitters and ½ oz of dry vermouth into a cocktail shaker
Add ½ oz of sweet vermouth
Add ½ oz of Jamaican rum and ¾ oz of Campari
Add ½ oz of pineapple rum and 1 bar spoon of falernum
Fill the cocktail shaker with ice cubes and stir to mix and cool
Strain into a glass with 1 rock ice
Peel 1 lime. Express the peel and rub it against the edge of the glass
Peel 1 orange. Express the peel and rub it against the edge of the glass
The perfect rum negroni is ready! Enjoy!
