Sugar Syrup
Sugar Syrup is a common ingredient used in cocktail to add sweetness and balance flavors! It is made by dissolving sugar in water, creating a liquid sweetener that mixes easily into cold beverages! You can use different kinds of sugars, but the basic one is with white sugar. I like to use a 1:1 (one part sugar and one part water) ratio in most of my cocktails, but a 2:1 (two parts of sugar and one part water) ratio is also common.
Add <quantity>300<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of water to a pot. Bring to a boil over high heat
Add <quantity>300<unit>g</unit></quantity> of white sugar to a jar
Add the boiled water
Mix until the sugar is completely dissolved
Pour the syrup into a bottle with a lid. The sugar syrup is ready
Use this syrup as a base in your cocktail set!
