Sunflower Seeds Spread
20m
Sunflower seeds spread is a truly tasty and universal recipe! It works as a side dish for salads or grilled meats and vegetables, as a spread for sandwiches, or as a dip for chips and raw veggies!
It can also be used as a base for many sauces.
Preheat the oven to 160 °C
Spread 200 g of sunflower seeds on a baking sheet
Bake the sunflower seeds for 14m until golden brown, tossing them midway through. Let the seeds cool down
Transfer the sunflower seeds to a tall container and add 1 tbsp of dijon mustard
Add 1 tbsp of honey and 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
Add 2 tbsp of sherry vinegar and salt to taste
Add 3 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil and mix it with a hand blender until a spreadable paste is formed. It should have some texture, so be careful not to over mix it
Transfer the paste to another dish. The sunflower seeds spread is ready
Enjoy! It works perfectly both as a side dish or a dip!
