Whiskey Sour
A delicious, balanced cocktail, even for those who don’t normally enjoy whiskey or bourbon. Don’t skip adding this drink to you repertoire!
Bring <quantity>8<unit>fl oz</unit></quantity> of water to a simmer over medium heat
Add <quantity>8<unit>oz</unit></quantity> of white sugar. Stir until it is dissolved
Transfer to a container to cool. The simple syrup is ready
Add <quantity>1</quantity> egg white to the larger cocktail shaker tin
Add <quantity>¾<unit>fl oz</unit></quantity> of lemon juice, <quantity>¾<unit>fl oz</unit></quantity> of the simple syrup and <quantity>2<unit>fl oz</unit></quantity> of bourbon to the smaller cocktail shaker tin
Pour the smaller tin into the larger one and dry shake for approximately 3s
Fill the smaller tin with ice. Connect the tins and shake them for approximately 20s. Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass
Express a lemon twist over the glass and add <quantity>3<unit>dashes</unit></quantity> of Angostura bitters in a line across the cocktail
