Tomato Sauce is a very basic recipe, but also very versatile! It works well with pasta as it is, or as a base for vegetable and fish sauces. You can also eat it with some polenta, or use to make lasagna, among many other preparations.

Drizzle some extra virgin olive oil in a frying pan, and grate <quantity>2</quantity> garlic cloves. Sautée the garlic over medium-low heat until it starts to soften

Add <quantity>1½<unit>cups</unit></quantity> of tomato purée

Stir it and cook for 15m. The tomato sauce is ready

Enjoy! Season with salt and pepper, put it over some pasta, and you will be set!
