A holiday recipe for little kids and for the grown-ups as well ;) This is a gourmet dough full of flavors!
This recipe is for the dough of coxinha, a chicken croquette that is found at every children's party in Brazil. Although it is typically stuffed with shredded chicken, you can use any of your favorite ingredients. It is a truly a unanimous recipe!
Add 500 ml of milk to a saucepan over medium heat
Add 50 g of butter
Add 1 tbsp of turmeric and 1 tbsp of paprika
Add 1 tbsp of salt and mix. Bring to a boil
Add 500 g of all-purpose flour. Mix with a wooden spoon to slightly incorporate it. Remove from the heat and continue to mix until the flour is mostly absorbed
Sprinkle a work surface with flour and place the dough on it
Knead the dough until you can form a smooth and pliable ball with it
Wrap in cling film and rest at room temperature for 1h to soften. The Brazilian snack dough is ready to use
Enjoy! You can use this dough to make coxinhas or add any stuffing you want.
