Brown Butter Ponzu
Brown Butter Ponzu is a variation of the traditional ponzu sauce. By adding the brown butter, it gives the sauce a nutty and rich flavor, besides a slightly creamier texture.
It is perfect for adding a unique and delicious flavor to many dishes, such as marinades, salad dressings, and dipping sauces.
Add ½ cup of soy sauce to a bowl
Add the peels of ½ lemon and ½ lime
Add the juices from the lemon and lime halves
Mix well and cover with cling film. Let it sit for 4h to infuse flavors. The ponzu sauce is ready
Melt 250 g of unsalted butter in a pan over medium heat until it gets brown and nutty. Mix it every once in a while
Strain the ponzu into a container and add the brown butter while constant mixing to emulsify it
The brown butter ponzu is ready
