Cachaça Xmash
Refreshing, sweet and sour cocktail. Great for any occasion!
Add <quantity>1<unit>kg</unit></quantity> of sugar to a pan on low heat
Add <quantity>600<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of water immediately. Stir until the sugar is dissolved
Blend the mixture, while still hot, on low speed for 2m to avoid crystallization
Transfer to a bottle. The simple syrup is ready
Cut <quantity>½</quantity> lemon into wedges. Cut the wedges in half
Cut <quantity>½</quantity> lime into wedges. Cut the wedges in half
Add the cut lemon and lime to a cocktail shaker
Add <quantity>20<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of the simple syrup
Add <quantity>3<unit>dashes</unit></quantity> of angostura bitters and smash
Add <quantity>60<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of cachaça
Fill the cocktail shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled
Strain the cocktail into a highball glass filled with ice cubes
Add <quantity>20<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of fino sherry wine
Garnish with mint sprigs to taste
