Carrot Cake Milk Punch
A milk punch is a family of drinks from the 1600s. We have used the classic structure and replicated the flavors of a carrot cake.
Add the peels from <quantity>2</quantity> oranges and <quantity>2</quantity> cinnamon sticks to a pot
Add <quantity>250<unit>g</unit></quantity> of sugar and <quantity>250<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of water
Cook over medium heat for 20m to extract the flavors
Strain it
Let it cool down and keep it in a lidded container in the refrigerator. The orange & cinnamon cordial is ready
Place <quantity>375<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of dark rum and <quantity>500<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of carrot juice in a recipient
Add <quantity>60<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of lemon juice and <quantity>100<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of the Orange & Cinnamon Cordial
Slowly pour the rum, carrot juice and cordial into <quantity>250<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of whole milk
Set aside for at least 30m until curdled
Strain the mixture through a coffee filter
Pass through a new coffee filter for maximum clarity
Transfer to a bottle. The carrot cake milk punch is ready
Place <quantity>1</quantity> clear ice in a lowball glass, serve the carrot cake milk punch and stir to chill
