Cast-Iron Utensils Using & Caring
Tips for proper care of our cast iron utensils.
What to do to always keep your pots, pans, and others in excellent condition.
Wash the utensil with mild soap and water before using it for the first time. Rinse and dry thoroughly
Match the size of the utensil base with the size of your stove's heat zone for efficient and safe cooking
Use medium or low heat for simmering, frying, and slow cooking. High temperatures should only be used for boiling water and reducing broths or sauces
Preheat the pan with oil or fat before adding the food for frying
Allow the utensil to cool down before washing them. Do not plunge the hot pan into cold water to prevent thermal shock
Use a nylon or soft abrasive brush to remove persistent residue during cleaning.
