Cook and mix constantly until it thickens. Remove from heat

Add the drained cherries and mix to meld together. The sour cherry filling is ready

Dust a clean work surface with flour and place the Vareniki Dough on it

Roll out the dough until it is <quantity>3<unit>mm</unit></quantity> thick

Punch it with a round cutter

Place a <quantity>1<unit>tsp</unit></quantity> of the Sour Cherry Filling. Fold the dough and pinch the edges to seal the vareniki

Fill half of a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Add <quantity>½<unit>tsp</unit></quantity> of salt

Carefully place the dumplings into the boiling water and simmer for 4m until cooked

Transfer the vareniki to a bowl and add <quantity>½<unit>tbsp</unit></quantity> of butter. Toss to coat them evenly

Plate the dumplings and pour sour cream to taste over them. The cherry vareniki are ready
