Coconut Milk
It's very interesting to have natural coconut milk at home, as it offers a perfect flavor and is highly versatile, replacing animal milk in numerous recipes.
Place <quantity>1</quantity> medium coconut into a bowl and cover it with water. Let it sit for 50m to open more easily
Hit the coconut all around with the back of a knife to open it. Place a bowl underneath to reserve the water
Break it into smaller pieces
Carefully insert the tip of a knife between the pulp and the shell. Twist it lightly to detach the pulp
Cut the pulp into small pieces
Add <quantity>1<unit>cup</unit></quantity> of hot water, the coconut water, and the chopped coconut into a blender
Blend well on high speed until homogeneous
Sieve through a cheesecloth. The coconut milk is ready
