Coconut Milk


It's very interesting to have natural coconut milk at home, as it offers a perfect flavor and is highly versatile, replacing animal milk in numerous recipes.

  • Place 1 medium coconut into a bowl and cover it with water. Let it sit for 50m to open more easily

  • Hit the coconut all around with the back of a knife to open it. Place a bowl underneath to reserve the water

  • Break it into smaller pieces

  • Carefully insert the tip of a knife between the pulp and the shell. Twist it lightly to detach the pulp

  • Cut the pulp into small pieces

  • Add 1 cup of hot water, the coconut water, and the chopped coconut into a blender

  • Blend well on high speed until homogeneous

  • Sieve through a cheesecloth. The coconut milk is ready
