Take the portafilter to the espresso machine and pull a double shot of espresso into a coffee mug
Add <quantity>1<unit>tbsp</unit></quantity> of caramel syrup to the espresso, making a circular movement while pouring it, and mix it
Steam <quantity>½<unit>cup</unit></quantity> of milk and add it to the coffee, making a circular movement while pouring
