Corn Batter is perfect for making a different kind of fried crust that is super crispy and flavorful! It is also versatile, as it can be used almost as a tempura batter for vegetables, poultries, and meats in general.
Add 2 cups of corn flour and 1 cup of cornstarch to a bowl
Add ½tbsp of turmeric powder and ½tbsp of smoked paprika
Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste. Mix well
In another bowl, add 50ml of cachaça and 1tbsp of egg white
Add 150ml of sparkling water
Gradually add the corn flour mixture to the bowl with the liquids, whisking constantly until homogeneous. The mixture should be creamy, neither runny or thick. The corn batter is ready
