Fish Fillet Cleaning
An easy way to trim and remove the pin bones from a fish fillet and enjoy it in your favorite dishes. Here we use mackerel but you can use this skill for any round fish.
Cut around the head of <quantity>1</quantity> mackerel fish, slicing behind the fish wing
Make an incision along the length of the spine
Cut between the bones and the flesh, from the head towards the tail, to remove the fillet. Keep the blade as close to the bones as possible
Trim off any darker flesh. Cut out the dark center blood line of the fillet along both sides of the pin bones
Trim off the edges of each loin. The fish fillet is clean
