The ultimate side dish! Everyone loves French Fries, and here we will go through how to make them yourself.

These can be served as a side dish or by themselves with mayonnaise or ketchup.

  • Peel 1 Kg of floury potatoes and cut them into 1 cm thick batons

    Step 0
  • Rinse the potatoes in cold water until it runs clear. Soak them in water for 30m or up to 1d in the refrigerator

  • Pat dry the potatoes

  • Fill a heavy bottom pot or deep fryer halfway with vegetable oil. Preheat to 130 °C

    Step 3
  • Gently dip the potatoes into the oil and fry until lightly golden, working in batches if necessary. Transfer the fries to a wire rack with a slotted spoon and let them cool down

  • Heat the oil to 180 °C. Return the fries to the pot and fry until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towels

  • Season generously with salt while the fries are still hot

  • The french fries are ready. Enjoy!
