Grilled Squid
A quick preparation for squid that is a good protein option to complement any dish! This technique leaves it tender, juicy, and slightly smoked. The Grilled Squid is great for barbecues and pairs perfectly with other grilled vegetables and sauces such as romesco.
Fill the bottom of a grill with charcoal. Form a very hot fire, clean of ash
Pull out the tentacles and the cartilage from <quantity>1</quantity> squid
Separate the fins from the body
Cut the body and the fin in half, and slice them into <quantity>1<unit>cm</unit></quantity>-wide pieces
Separate the tentacles from the beak and discard both the beak and the cartilage
Season the squid with extra virgin olive oil and salt to taste
Place the squid in a grill basket on top of the coals. Grill for 1m, stirring occasionally, until the meat is slightly firm. The grilled squid is ready
