Laksa Paste
Laksa Paste is a concentrated blend of aromatic ingredients used as a base for laksa, a spicy Southeast Asian noodle soup popular in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. The paste gives the soup a rich, tangy, and aromatic flavor.
Place <quantity>2</quantity> chopped lemongrass stalks and <quantity>3</quantity> chopped red onions in a blender
Add <quantity>4</quantity> garlic cloves and <quantity>1</quantity> chopped small piece of ginger
Add <quantity>2<unit>tbsp</unit></quantity> of cashew nuts and <quantity>1<unit>tbsp</unit></quantity> of red chili flakes
Add <quantity>3<unit>tbsp</unit></quantity> of dried shrimp, <quantity>1<unit>tsp</unit></quantity> of cumin seeds and <quantity>¼<unit>cup</unit></quantity> of water
Blend until you obtain a paste. The laksa paste is ready
Transfer to a jar and use to make laksa. Enjoy!
