Lemon Verbena Cordial
A super easy and versatile base to spice up any cocktail or refresher!
All you have to do is use this Lemon Verbena Cordial as a replacement for sugar and you’ll be set!
This is a basic recipe we worked on for quite a while that strikes the perfect balance between sweet and sour. It's easily adaptable for a cocktail, homemade soda, or mixer.
You can use a fine mesh strainer instead of the gauze cloth, and citric acid instead of malic acid.
Add 35 g of lemon verbena and 150 g of sugar to a tall recipient
Add 12 g of malic acid and ½ tsp of ascorbic acid
Add 500 ml of water
Blend with a hand blender until homogenous
Set a tall recipient with a gauze cloth and a fine mesh sieve. Sieve the mixture and discard the solids
Transfer to a bottle or a jar. The lemon verbena cordial is ready
