Lingonberry Jam
In Sweden, Lingonberry Jam is a staple food. We can make it into jam and juice, and as a key accompaniment to many main dishes, breakfasts and desserts. It is usually served with meat dishes, such as meatballs, beef stew and liver dishes, but also with potatoes or pancakes.
Add <quantity>2½<unit>cups</unit></quantity> of lingonberries and <quantity>½<unit>cup</unit></quantity> of water to a medium pot
Boil over medium heat for 5-10m, skimming any foam from the surface
Stir in <quantity>1<unit>cup</unit></quantity> of sugar. Bring to a rapid boil and continue boiling for a few more minutes until it thickens
Ladle the jam into hot, sterile jars, leaving <quantity>1<unit>cm</unit></quantity> of headspace. Cover with good lids or screw on rings. The lingonberry jam is ready
