Mashed Potatoes
A good and honest Mashed Potatoes recipe. It doesn't have to be fancy or smooth, but it has to be tasty!
Peel <quantity>800<unit>g</unit></quantity> of potatoes
Cover the potatoes with water, add salt to taste and cook for 45m until fork tender
Carefully mash the drained potatoes with a fork
Add <quantity>150<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of milk and <quantity>50<unit>g</unit></quantity> of butter to a saucepan
Add salt to taste and mix
Add <quantity>½<unit>tsp</unit></quantity> of nutmeg and mix
Add the mashed potatoes to a pan
Add the milk and butter. Stir with a spatula until well combined and velvety
Adjust seasoning if necessary. The mashed potatoes are ready
