Okra & Bacon
A perfect side dish for meat, poultry and even pasta.
Remove the skin from <quantity>300<unit>g</unit></quantity> of bacon and cut into medium cubes
Trim and cut <quantity>2<unit>cups</unit></quantity> of okra into medium pieces
Cook the bacon in a skillet over low heat until golden brown and crisp. Transfer to a bowl, leaving the melted fat on the skillet
Turn the fire to high and add the okra
Add salt and olive oil to taste and sauté until golden
Add the bacon and the juice from <quantity>½</quantity> lime
Transfer to a plate and garnish with fried garlic, scallions and toasted sesame seeds to taste. The okra & bacon is ready
