Rice Pudding, Plum & Tea
This is a take on a childhood memory for me. Ambrosia rice pudding from a can with jam on top. The jam can be any, the rice can be any. The jasmine tea adds a slight bitterness and depth to finish off what is quite a sweet dessert, but it could also be replaced with any green tea or matcha! It just is a great and light dessert! Add <quantity>½<unit>cup</unit></quantity> of jasmine rice to a pan
Add <quantity>1<unit>cup</unit></quantity> of milk
Add <quantity>⅔<unit>cup</unit></quantity> of cream
Cook over low heat for 15-18m, until the rice grains are soft and creamy. Stir occasionally to make sure the rice won’t stick to the pan and will cook evenly. The rice pudding is ready
Add <quantity>¼<unit>cup</unit></quantity> of jasmine tea to a blender. Blend on high speed to form a fine powder
Plate a portion of the Rice Pudding in a serving bowl. Use a spoon to open a spot in the middle
Fill the spot with plum jam, and sprinkle some jasmine tea powder over it. The rice pudding, plum & tea is ready
Enjoy! This is a great dessert to make for your friends!
