Roasted Tomatoes are an easy and very quick preparation that is also an umami bomb. They serve as a good accompaniment to many things, as well as a base for sauces and stews.
They go well with meat, fish, ramen, tomato sauce base, romesco sauce, ketchup, and much more!
Trim, halve, and deseed 8 ripe tomatoes
Place them in a bowl and season with salt and ground black pepper to taste
Drizzle 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil and mix
Place the seasoned tomatoes in a baking tray, with the cut face down
Bake at 180 °C for 45m until roasted. The roasted tomatoes are ready
Use them in any recipe that calls for roasted tomatoes, or just eat them by themselves. Enjoy!
