Rose & Cucumber Gimlet
Are you a big martini fan? Would you like to enjoy something a little bit more fresh? Does the traditional martini taste a bit too hard for you? Then gimlet is your go to cocktail! This one is a twist to a classic with slight flowery notes and a fresh cucumber kick. A perfect aperitif for you guests.
Slice <quantity>200<unit>g</unit></quantity> of cucumber
Add the cucumber slices to an airtight glass jar
Add <quantity>10<unit>g</unit></quantity> of dried rosebuds
Add <quantity>200<unit>g</unit></quantity> of white sugar
Add <quantity>600<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of water
Add <quantity>7.5<unit>g</unit></quantity> of citric acid powder and <quantity>2.5<unit>g</unit></quantity> of malic acid powder
Stir to dissolve the sugar
Place it on the refrigerator overnight to infuse the flavors
Strain it through a fine mesh sieve into a bottle with a lid. The rose & cucumber cordial is ready
Add <quantity>20<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of the rose & cucumber cordial, <quantity>22.5<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of dry vermouth, and <quantity>45<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of gin to a mixing glass
Fill the glass with ice cubes to taste and stir well
Strain it into a coupe glass
Cut a slice out of <quantity>1</quantity> cucumber and discard the peel. Roll it over and stick it with a cocktail pick
Garnish your drink with the cucumber roll. The rose & cucumber gimlet is ready! Enjoy!
