This one is a twist to a classic with slight flowery notes and a fresh cucumber kick. A perfect aperitif for you guests.
In this recipe, you will learn how to make your own Rose & Cucumber Gimlet. It takes some time but it is definitely worth it! If you’ve already have it, just go straight to step 10!
Slice 200 g of cucumber
Add the cucumber slices to an airtight glass jar
Add 10 g of dried rosebuds
Add 200 g of white sugar
Add 600 ml of water
Add 7.5 g of citric acid powder and 2.5 g of malic acid powder
Stir to dissolve the sugar
Place it on the refrigerator overnight to infuse the flavors
Strain it through a fine mesh sieve into a bottle with a lid. The rose & cucumber cordial is ready
Add 20 ml of the rose & cucumber cordial, 22.5 ml of dry vermouth, and 45 ml of gin to a mixing glass
Fill the glass with ice cubes to taste and stir well
Strain it into a coupe glass
Cut a slice out of 1 cucumber and discard the peel. Roll it over and stick it with a cocktail pick
Garnish your drink with the cucumber roll. The rose & cucumber gimlet is ready! Enjoy!
