Steak Tartare Dressing
The Steak Tartare Dressing, as the name says, is perfect for whenever you’re craving some tartare but don’t know how to season it!
This recipe is inspired by the classic steak tartare dressing where the raw beef is marinaded in a sweet/sour/salty dressing to counter the richness of the raw meat. This version adds an umami kick with the use of worcestershire sauce.
This recipe is inspired by the classic Steak Tartare sauce but enhanced with a kick of umami.
The whiskey used in this recipe is completely optional.
Add ¼ cup of mayonnaise to a bowl
Add ¼ cup of dijon mustard
Add ⅔ cup of ketchup
Add 3 tbsp of vegetable oil
Add 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
Add 2½ tbsp of worcestershire sauce. Add 2½ tbsp of whiskey
Add tabasco sauce to taste
Whisk until all ingredients are incorporated. The steak tartare dressing is ready
