The Tomato Sauce is an extremely versatile dish, that can be used for pastas, pizzas, shakshukas, tomato soups, and many other preparations!
Trim, peel, and dice 1 onion
Press or mince 1 garlic clove
Add 2 tbsp of vegetable oil to a saucepan over medium heat and add the diced onion
Add the minced garlic and stir
Add 2 tsp of salt and cook until golden brown
Add 1 sprig of rosemary, 1 sprig of thyme, and 5 leaves of basil. Stir and add 400 g of peeled tomatoes
Rinse the can with a little water and add the water to the pan
Cook until the sauce has a creamy texture
Add ground black pepper to taste and stir. The tomato sauce is ready
Enjoy it with pasta or bread!
