Vegan Caramel Flan
This non-baked caramel flan is a perfect dessert for afternoon tea.
Pour <quantity>100<unit>g</unit></quantity> of maple syrup into a pudding tin. Place it in the freezer for 1h to firm up
Scrape the seeds out of <quantity>1</quantity> vanilla bean
Place <quantity>500<unit>ml</unit></quantity> of soy cream and a <quantity>¼<unit>tsp</unit></quantity> of agar agar in a pan
Add a pinch of grounded kala namak and <quantity>50<unit>g</unit></quantity> of maple syrup
Add the vanilla seeds
Mix until all ingredients are combined. Bring to a boil while stirring constantly
Pour into the pudding tin, distributing the mixture evenly
Place it in the refrigerator for 2h to set
Remove the flan from the tin just before serving. The vegan caramel flan is ready
