Sweet, salty, and just a hint of spicy, this butter will be your new best friend.
Delicious on its own. Perfect with buttermilk biscuits, on toast, or dropped into a hot pan to baste fish.
Whipped butter is a Southern classic! You'll find variations of this dish all over the American South.
Fill a large bowl with 6 cups of ice cubes and 1 L of water
Melt 454 g of unsalted butter on a saucepan until completely liquid
Place a smaller bowl in the ice bath and add the melted butter. Whisk until the butter begins to cling to the sides of the bowl
Add flaky salt to taste and ¼ cup of warm honey
Whisk while scraping the bottom of the bowl to aerate and cool the butter
Continue whisking until it thickens and turns pale in color. The whipped honey butter is ready
Spread it on top of whatever you want. Enjoy!
