Masque
Place 200ml of pomegranate juice and 260g of white sugar in a saucepan
Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved
Add 2tsp of blood orange loose tea and stir. Turn of the heat
Strain once it gets room temperature. The pomegranate & blood orange syrup is ready
Roughly chop 100g of peeled ginger
Add it to a blender and add 45ml of water
Blend on high speed until completely crushed
Sieve into a container through a fine mesh sieve
Add 2½tbsp of the sieved ginger extract and 5tbsp of sugar the blender
Blend until the sugar is dissolved. The ginger syrup is ready
Add 22.5ml of lime juice and 7.5ml of the Ginger Syrup to the cup of a cocktail shaker
Add 15ml of the Pomegranate & Blood Orange Syrup and 30ml of pomegranate juice
Add 52.5ml of blended scotch whisky
Fill the shaker with ice cubes and close it. Shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled
Fill a tumbler glass with ice cubes
Strain the cocktail into the glass
Garnish with edible flowers. The petrichor is ready
